CSCS Basic Scaffolding

Aim


This course is designed to give participants the skills, knowledge and attitude which will enable them to safely erect /dismantle scaffolding systems.


 Assessment:


Theoretical and Practical examination


Course Duration:


7 Days depending on experience


Prerequisites:


The Learner must be at least 17 years old and have a minimum of 9 months on site experience is required before the learner is allowed to attend the CSCS 7 day Scaffolding Basic assessment course. Key Task training Log sheets must also be signed off by a qualified supervisor/mentor in possession of a current CSCS Scaffolding registration card. The Learner must successfully complete all tasks in the Key Task Training Log sheets and employers should only send learners for assessment when they are deemed competent.

  • All candidates must bring:
  • One Passport Photograph
  • Current Safe Pass Card
  • PPS Number
  • PPE (personal protective equipment), i.e. Hard Hat, High Visibility Vest, Steel Toe Capped Boots, Gloves
  • Candidate’s pack


Match languages like with like. Be of School Leaving Age, have the ability to Work at Height. Have relevant experience of working with mobile access tower scaffold


Certification:


On successful completion of the Basic Scaffold Assessment/Course, a FETAC Level 5 Certificate and Solas CSCS Card will be issued.
