Meet our Team At Salus Training

Tom Browne M.D. 

Tom has a wealth of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry and has worked in Civils and Utilities area of construction here in Ireland, the United States and in Australia. He has trained in the White Card Program and Certificate 3 in Plant and Civil qualifications and did a further Diploma in Safety Health and Welfare in Australia. Tom has also studied Safety, Health and Welfare in UCD Dublin, Health Safety and Environmental Law at University of Salford UK. 
He first came to construction in 1979 having completed a four-year term of engagement with the Naval Service. He has acquired a broad range of knowledge and experience and has been involved in the development of the Approved Code of Practice for the “Avoidance of Danger from Underground Services” giving rise to the inception of the current “Location of Underground Services” CSCS course required under the Construction Regulations. Tom also co-wrote the course.
Further to this Tom wrote the course “Protection of Underground Assets” which is Lantra approved and has received an award through the Construction Industry Federation, Innovation in Safety Products and services. In addition, Tom wrote a Traffic Management Designers course which is also Lantra approved. 

Aileen Boyd

Aileen Boyd(Admin), has been working with Salus for 7 months. She is a Mam to 2 teenagers, Loves to playing GAA and currently coach and play for a team at St.Peregrines in Dublin 15. She volunteer in my local community in her spare time and is the Vice Chair in our local Football Club HHFC for the last 2 years. She enjoys giving an opportunity for young children to become involved in sports and providing a fun environment for children to grow and develop.

 

Wayne Rice

Wayne Rice (Operations Mgr) Wayne has over 20 years’ experience in Management and has been with Salus Training almost 3 years now. Wayne is very much a peoples person and will go out of his way to facilitate our customers’ needs as best as possible. Wayne organises the training calendar and oversees the day to day operations. Wayne is a family man and loves spending time with his 3 sons and Fiancée Danielle. Wayne is passionate about sports particularly Football, Rugby & Boxing. Wayne has been known to do some fundraising for charities including Cancer Awareness, Alzheimer’s Ireland and Ronald McDonald Children’s charity.

 

Danielle Browne


Danielle Browne (Accounts Mgr) has been working in Salus Training since returning from Australia in 2016. Danielle is a qualified Hairdresser for over 17 years but then decided to have a change in career and get involved in the family business. Danielle is our Account Manager and looks after our finance. Danielle is married and has 2 children she loves to spend time with her family and also enjoys to play Gaelic in her spare time and also helps coaching the team. Danielle is people friendly person and always accommodating and always happy to help and assist.     

 

Paul Joyce

Paul Joyce Safety consultant & Trainer. Worked in a number of different industries- Retail, Manufacturing, Civils and construction. Worked in Smurfit paper Mills as a Senior member of the production team which is where my interest in safety really began. Elected as the company’s safety representative in 1990.
Completed a Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Cert in 1989
Became Chairman of the safety committee in 1996.
Trained as a manual Handling Instructor & Assessor in 2002
involved in all aspects of safety during my time in Smurfit’s 
Joined Salus training Services in 2005 
As a member of Salus Training Services I have a number of roles and responsibilities,
Arranging meetings with our clients to discuss their issues and health and safety needs.
Organizing Site audits to risk assess their business and operations.
Preparation and development of safety policies/statements, method statements and Rams 
Training candidates in a number of skill-based operations (IPAF, ROSPA, LANTRA) in compliance with health and safety legislation. Qualified as Forklift Instructor in 2012 (R.T.I.T. B).

My Educational Qualifications include:
Train the Trainer FETAC Level 6 (Distinction)
Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Dip
Integrated Safety, Health and Environmental Management Certificate.
Workplace & Work Equipment Safety (3rd Level Nebosh)
Safety, Health and Environment for Construction Site Managers (IOSH’s) Certificate

We also have Sub contractor trainers that would work with us regularly.
