Candidates must bring with them on the day:
1.Proof of identity
2.Passport sized photograph
3.Valid and current Safe Pass card
4.Possess confirmation of appropriate manual handling training
5.Possess appropriate documentation identifying the person as a trainee mobile tower scaffolderector
6.Health and fitness declaration completed and signed
The following Personal Protective Equipment required for the course must have a CE marking and conform to the requirements of the applicable EC directives.
1.Safety helmet
2.Safety boots
3.Reflective ‘hi-viz’ jacket and or vest
4.Gloves
5.Glasses
6.Scaffolders spirit level

Aim of Programme

The Mobile tower scaffold training and assessment programme enables trained erectors to gain recognition for their achievements by the way of certification, and provide an opportunity for participants to demonstrate their skills, knowledge and competence associated with mobile tower scaffold operations.

  • Safety when Working at Height
  • Fall Protection
  • An Introduction to Mobile Access Towers
  • Understanding Dangerous Situations
  • Following Manufacturer’s Instructions
  • Erection and Dismantling Mobile Access Towers
  • Working on Mobile Tower’s Safely
  • Examination and Assessment

 Assessment:

Theoretical and Practical examination

Course Duration:

1 or 2 Days depending on experience

No of delegates:

Maximum of 8 participants

Prerequisites:

All candidates must bring:

  • One Passport Photograph

  • Current Safe Pass Card

  • PPS Number

  • PPE (personal protective equipment), i.e. Hard Hat, High Visibility Vest, Steel Toe Capped Boots, Gloves

  • Candidate’s pack

Certification:

On successful completion of the Mobile Tower Assessment/Course, a FETAC Level 5 Certificate and Solas CSCS Card will be issued.
